How DAFU Started

We Found the Demand

During Ramadan 2025, we contracted trusted local coconut water suppliers along Tanzania's coast and put the product in people's hands for the first time.

We Bottled It Ourselves

Without a factory line, we bottled and sealed DAFU by hand — keeping it hygienic, cold, and delivered directly to customers across Dar es Salaam.

We Sold Out

The first batch was gone before Ramadan ended. The proof was there: Tanzanians want a clean, local coconut water they can trust.

What We're Building Next

Tanzania's co-packers don't have the right machine. We're changing that.

To scale DAFU independently, we need to stop relying on third-party extraction. The challenge: no co-packing facility in Tanzania currently owns dedicated coconut boring and water extraction equipment. Without it, we cannot control quality, hygiene, or production speed at scale. We are procuring this machinery ourselves.
